Cast The Book of Mormon (Engels)

Nicole-Lily Baisden (Nabulungi)

My favorite book is..

Definitely the book of Mormon :). Besides that: I love the Harry Potter series.

How do you like Amsterdam so far?

It’s been great so far. I have had so many, I hope I pronounce this right, stroopwafels. They are my favorite so far. It has been great, just walking around and exploring. I really want to go on a canal cruise as well.

My favorite part of this show is…

That has to be ‘Baptize me’ with me and Connor. Every single night I walk on stage with the biggest smile and it has been so much fun. We just play around and do something different every night, so it is really fun!

Wij legde ze een aantal stellingen en vragen voor. Connor Pierson over zijn fascinatie met Disney artist, verdwalen in Amsterdam en samenwerking met Nicole-Lily Baisden.

Connor Pierson (Elder Cunningham)

My favorite book is…

Ooh gosh, I don’t know.. I am really into art books, so its usually books filled with paintings, I don’t know if that counts? A lot of books about Disney artists. I am a bit of a nerd that way.

Which one is your favorite?

I forgot his name, he has a very unique name, but he (the artist red.) does all the backdrops of Sleeping Beauty.

How do you like Amsterdam so far?

I love it. I got to do a bit of exploring, I definitely got lost.. I got on the wrong train. But I think the best way to get to know a city is to get lost, at least once. So now I feel like I am pretty comfortable around here. I had apple pie that wasn’t even on the menu like it is the most local experience you can get.

What is your favorite part of the show?

I love working with Nicole, she is so wonderful and so lovely and talented. When she opens her mouth her voice just blows you away. It is just so incredible.

Nicole’s favorite part is Baptize me…

That is one of my favorites. It is so funny because so much of the show is about Cunningham needing approval and wanting to get approval from people. And she is the only character where he is totally relaxed and interacts as he would. And he is figuring that out because he hasn’t been himself that much. That is really fun to do with Nicole.

In dit dubbel interview vertellen Alex James Hatton (understudy van Elder Price) en George Crawford over spelen in het prachtige Carré theater, Amsterdam en hun favoriete boeken!

Alex James Hatton (Elder Price) & George Crawford (Elder Smith)

What is your favorite part of the show?

Alex James Hatton (AJH): Well it was actually my second time playing Elder Price. Yesterday was my first time. My favorite thing was getting to do it. But usually, I play Elder White in the Ensemble, which is also great. It’s just a fun, quirky Mormon. But today was just a bit overwhelming.

George Crawford (GC): Me and Alex are normally companions, we go together to France (in the musical red.). So in this show, I missed him so much (;)). But the show is great. It is such a feel-good show, that has such an important message at the end. No matter where you are from, or what your background is, everyone just gets along with each other in the end and I think that is one of the best selling points as well. It is just such an uplifting, heartfelt show, and it got some catchy songs as well.

How do you like Amsterdam so far?

AJH: So this is my first time in Amsterdam, and it is amazing that I can get to come to such a place as Amsterdam whilst I am working. And it is sooo beautiful, the buildings, the people, the food…

GC: Everyone is so friendly and this theather is absolutely stunning. First time I walked onto that stage I was taken aback.

And what is your favorite book?

AJH: My favorite book actually is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl. My mum used to read it to me every night when I was little and since then it has been one of my favorite books.

GC: I gonna have to go with a book called A Monster Calls. I read it when I was on holiday and I cried, and I said to my nanna you should read this book it is really good and then she cried. It is just one of those books that really changed me, so read it, it is really good!
